LOVE THOSE PINK DISHES!!!!

I am starting to get the hang of blogging! I am very excited to add a new post today! I LOVE Pink! It has always been one of my favorite colors. When I was 21 I bought my first piece of Pink Cameoware by Harker. I was at the Rosebowl Flea Market and saw the rolling pin and thought it was the prettiest thing I had ever seen! From there, through the years, I have collected almost every pink piece I could find. It seems to be more plentiful in the Midwest, but I have been lucky to find service for 10! I keep my favorite pieces on my old chippy corner cabinet so everyone who comes into my home can see it. My sister Shelley always admired it and eventually started to collect it too! She loves the blue Cameoware and went on a fast and crazy collecting spree for it, but she took it one step further! She saw the yellow Cameoware and thought how beautiful it would look mixed with the blue! Need I say, she now owns both colors and yes, it looks fabulous! The yellow pieces are definately the most rare and you will have to hunt for a loooong time to complete a set!

I hope you enjoyed these pictures! I have to get to bed early tonight so I can get up at 4:00 a.m. tomorrow to shop for more treasures! SWEET DREA!MS....

Welcome to my new blog spot! I am so excited to join the world of bloggers! Like all of you, my love for anything vintage has brought me to this place. I started my passion for the past when I was just 19 years old! One small piece of glassware caught my eye in my friends house and his mother gave it to me as a gift! I now live in a home filled with all things old and beautiful! Through this process, I will be sharing some of my most treasured collections with you. I will be selling shortly on ebay with the user ID of vintage*obsessions, and my website should be up and running sometime in the next week! Wow, this is a lot to take on all at once, however, I have had a few of my most favorite people inspiring me to get going!!! First and foremost, my dear friend Cheryl, of "Cheryls Fascinating Finds" who is one of the most talented people I know! Cheryl was inspired to http://www.cherylsfascinatingfinds.blogspot.com/ get going by Jennifer, of "The old Painted Cottage" http://www.theoldpaintedcottage.com/. Jennifer is a "pioneer" in the world of "cottage" and blogging! Jennifer is such a sweet person and is forever putting herself out there to help anyone who needs it!!!! Now, just this morning, I hopped on the computer and see that my great friend Debra Hall, of "The English Cottage Collection" http://www.thenglishcottage.blogspot.com/ has started up her blog! You must visit her blog! The picture she has up is absolutely gorgeous and you can see her incredible style of decorating!! Well, I am off now to take pictures that I can share with you and give you an insight into my world! I look forward to meeting new friends along this journey!
